Crafting Legacy in Stone
ABOUT US
A story shaped by passion and the courage to challenge accepted norms.
For us, a classical stone house is never just a building, it is deeply personal, demanding passion, dedication, experience, and care.
When decisions are driven solely by cost rather than quality, something intangible is lost. At Portico Stone, compliance with standards is only the starting point, not the finish line.
Buildings can meet every regulation and still fall short, they are not wrong, but we want to be proud of what we build.
In early 2012, driven by a desire to focus on classical architecture and to do things differently, Portico Stone was formed. The vision was clear: to design, supply, manage, and build truly beautiful stone buildings, without any compromise.

Over the years we worked with
Architects
Architects rely on our deep-rooted expertise to bring clarity and precision to every stage of the façade scope.
From the earliest conceptual phases, we work within the design team, offering informed guidance on stone selection, façade behaviour, structural implications, maintenance methodologies, and even diagnosis of visible or latent defects. We provide practical evidence to help architects refine their specifications and overcome project-specific challenges with certainty.
At Portico, we evaluate all viable approaches, presenting clear recommendations tailored to performance & aesthetic requirements.
Where needed, we also produce measured, documented designs or sample panels to validate material compatibility, demonstrate visual outcomes, and support stakeholder approval.
Our collaborative commitment aims turning design intent into durable and beautifully executed stonework.
Main Contractors
We collaborate closely with Tier 1 and Tier 2 Main Contractors as a trusted stone masonry specialist, often operating as a lead sub-contractor within the delivery team, standing out through reliability, technical depth, and site integration, which are required on complex construction programmes.Â
Our workforce comes with vast expertise both in modern construction and traditional practices, with strong competency in health&safety, environmental compliance, design coordination, risk management, quality assurance, and all associated site procedures -> This allows us to align effortlessly with contractor processes, ensuring smooth communication, coordination, and precise execution.
We provide clear and practical support from the bid stage onward, offering technical advice, value-engineering options, cost input, and any required surveys, reports or sample panels. This early involvement has helped contractors secure and deliver numerous high-profile projects.
Our comprehensive approach helps reduce risk, streamline coordination, and ensure a well-executed final build.
